Dubai Tram is a public transport system running along Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR), Dubai Marina, and Al Sufouh Road. Launched in 2014, it’s designed for convenient, short-distance travel within a single fare zone, stopping at all the popular locations!

If it’s your first time in Dubai, don’t worry! Taking the tram is super easy. Follow these steps:
The Dubai Tram has 11 stations, covering JBR, Dubai Marina, and Al Sufouh Road. Here are the most important stops you should know:
For ES Dubai students, the Dubai Tram is super useful! First, take the Dubai Metro Red Line and get off at DMCC Metro Station (connected to Jumeirah Lakes Towers Tram Station) or Sobha Realty Metro Station (connected to Dubai Marina Tram Station). From there, transfer to the Dubai Tram and ride to JBR 1 or JBR 2 stations. Once you arrive, it’s just a short walk to your classroom of our English language institute in Dubai —easy, fast, and convenient!
The tram can also help you reach our study site inside the University of Wollongong Dubai (UOWD) campus. First, take the Dubai Metro Red Line and get off at Sobha Realty Metro Station, which is connected to the Dubai Marina Tram Station. From there, transfer to the Dubai Tram and ride to Knowledge Village Tram Station. Once you arrive, just walk to our UOWD study site.
If you stay on the Dubai Marina side, the tram is an easy way to reach our Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT) Campus. First, take the tram from your nearest station and ride to Jumeirah Lakes Towers tram station. From there, transfer to the Dubai Metro Red Line at DMCC Metro Station. Then, ride the JLT 1 bus, get off at JLT Silver Tower bus stop and walk to our JLT campus. Or you can simply ride a scooter or walk to reach the campus from the metro station.

🚆 The trams are modern and clean – There are comfortable seats, air-conditioning, and digital screens that tell you the next station.
👨👩👧 Separate cabins for women & children – If you prefer a quieter space, there is a special section for women and kids.
📵 No eating, drinking, or smoking – To keep the tram clean, these activities are not allowed inside.
💳 No cash payments – You must use a Nol card to pay.
