1. What Does “Must” Mean?

“Must” shows a strong obligation, either from the speaker or a rule/law. It often sounds urgent or very important.

Examples:

You must wear your student ID at all English schools in Dubai. (School rule)

People must respect traffic lights in Dubai. (Law)

Use “Must” When:

The speaker feels it’s very necessary.

We should try that new Lebanese restaurant in Dubai Marina! (Suggestion)
He should study more. (It’s a good idea)
